Itinerary
DAY 01: Arrive Siliguri / Bagdogra. Drive to Darjeeling ( 2134m). Overnight hotel.
DAY 02: Darjeeling – Sunrise view from Tiger’s Hill, afternoon Ghoom Moanstery, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Tibetan Self Help Center . Overnight hotel.
DAY 03 : Darjeeling to Tonglu – Drive one and half hour to Manebhnajyang and further vertical climb to Tonglu (2800m). Breathtaking View of Kanchenjunga. Overnight at trekker’s lodge
DAY 04 : Tonglu to Sandakphu – Many ascents and descents to Sandakphu (3750m). The best simultaneous view of the Everest and the Kanchenjunga ranges. Distance 16 km, 7 hours walking. Overnight trekkers huts.
DAY 05 : Sandakphu to Phalut – Trek to Phalut is comparatively easy. Walk along the Singelila ridge. Phalut is near the Tri-junction of Sikkim , Nepal and West Bengal. Overnight at trekkers lodge.
DAY 06 : Phalut to Rammam – Steep drop into the Rammam valley till the village of Gorkhey after which easy flat land. Overnight in Trekkers Hut. Distance 14 km and 5 hours walking.
DAY 07 : Rammam to Rimbick – Last day of trek to Rimbick. Some descents and meanders past meadows and small villages. Rimbick is a small village with little market. Stay at a family home converted to lodge
DAY 08 : Rimbick to Darjeeling. Drive 3-4 hours to Darjeeling
DAY 09 : Darjeeling – Gangtok – Drive to Gangtok. Over night at capital city Gangtok.
DAY 10: Gangtok : Enjoy sunrise from Hanuman Top. Full day sight seeing including Rumtek Monastery. Evening drive to Tashi View Point for sunset view of the majestic Mt. Kanchanjunga and Mt. Siniolchu . Over night at Gangtok.
DAY 11: Leave for Siliguri
